Bathroom Tile Visualiser

Tell us how big the bathroom is. Type the sizes, or trace them off a floor plan. Then pick tiles, see it in 3D and get the quantities. Free, no sign-up.

The example is a typical Australian 2.4 × 1.8 m bathroom with a 2.4 m ceiling.

How the bathroom tile visualiser works

Type your bathroom length, width and height. The tool builds an empty 3D room with the walls up, lays your chosen floor tile and wall tile across it, and lets you walk around it from the door or spin it from above.

Pick from common Australian tile sizes (300×600, 600×600, 600×1200, subway 100×300 and more) or upload a photo of the tile you have been quoted: the photo is cropped to one tile and repeated with the grout width you set.

Quantities come out as square metres, pieces and boxes, with a waste allowance that grows for diagonal and herringbone layouts. The cost is a Melbourne guide price for tiles only; the renovation quote is where the real number comes from.

Questions people ask

How many tiles do I need for a bathroom?

Floor tiles: length × width of the room, plus 10% waste for a straight lay (15% for diagonal or herringbone). Wall tiles: the perimeter × tiled height, minus the door, plus the same waste. The visualiser does both from your room size and tile size.

What is the standard bathroom ceiling height in Australia?

Most Australian homes have 2.4 m ceilings; newer builds and renovated homes often have 2.7 m. The tool defaults to 2.4 m and you can change it.

How much does it cost to tile a bathroom in Melbourne?

Labour for tiling a standard Melbourne bathroom runs roughly $80–$120 per square metre for floors and $90–$140 for walls in 2026, plus tiles and waterproofing. A full bathroom renovation is usually $18,000–$35,000. Send your design through the form for an actual quote.

Can I use a photo of my own tile?

Yes. Upload a photo of the tile (a sample, a showroom shot or a supplier image). The tool finds the tile in the photo, squares it up and repeats it on the floor or walls with real grout lines.
